The bottom line is that this webcam is relatively simple to install and does work well for its intended purpose of videoconferencing online. The downloaded software for the C370 allows one to adjust color and play with a few video effects for the fun of it. However, any video from a computer can also be influenced by restricted bandwidth on the internet connection of the speed of the computer video itself so this may not necessarily be a fair evaluation. It also includes a feature called ‘Chroma Key’ which allows users to eliminate their backgrounds. It enables streamers to personalize content by applying filters, borders, transitions, blurs and other effects to live and recorded videos. Using the webcam with a videoconferencing program the video on the receiving end is slightly pixelated (just because it may be set on the transmitting computer on HD mode doesn't mean that the video will look like broadca st TV on the receiving end). Logitech Capture is a video recording and streaming software that brings ease and speed to webcam video content. Once the driver from Logitech is installed the webcam works well. It does require downloading the driver from Logitech's website for the camera to work (I installed it in an older Windows 7 computer) the exact site took a little digging to find online but thanks to a search on Google I was able to find and install the driver. The unit easily sits atop a computer monitor. On a desktop, it is usually recommended to plug it into a USB port in the back of the computer rather than the front. The C370 webcam plugs into any available USB port.
